Behavioral Support Specialist

 

Arc of Onondaga is looking for a determined professional to fill the position of Behavioral Support Specialist within our Clinic Department.

 

In this role, you will provide support to the Behavioral Intervention Specialist in the development and implementation of Behavior Support Plans for individuals receiving services at Arc of Onondaga. The Behavior Support Specialist will also acquire comprehensive understanding of all regulations and requirements related to Behavior Support Plans, human rights and restrictive/intrusive supports. As the Behavior Support Specialist, you will also contribute as a member of the program planning team and will work to ensure appropriate and necessary psychological services for people we support.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or another related Human Services profession.

Trained in or will complete training in Functional Behavior Assessment techniques.

At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
