About the RoleĀ 

Ā 

To support U.S Urology Partners by assisting theresearch department with patient care needs and treatment appointments.Ā Ā Ā 

What You’ll Be DoingĀ 

Ā 

  • Communication with patients weekly on status of approval for treatmentsĀ 

  • Assists with the coordination of procedures and medical clearance for treatments andcommunicates the scheduling with the patientsĀ 

  • Chart preparation and educational preparation as neededĀ 

  • Maintains inventory of medical suppliesĀ 

  • Phone Triage:Ā 

  • Answers phones, forward call to appropriate nurse or physicianĀ 

  • Schedule f/u appointments for patients within the research departmentĀ 

  • Documentation of phone calls with patients and outcomeĀ 

  • Supports with complex papers and reports and helps in preparation of research grant proposalsĀ Ā 

  • Attends required meetingsĀ 

  • Participates in professional development activitiesĀ 

  • Initiates and willingly accepts special projects as neededĀ Ā 

  • Maintains strictest confidentialityĀ 

  • Performs other duties as assignedĀ

What We Expect from YouĀ 

Ā 

  • One year of medical experience in a medical practice settingĀ Ā 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skillsĀ 

  • Knowledge of healthcare insurance verification and pre-authorization processĀ 

  • Clinical administration skillsĀ Ā 

  • Electronic Medical Records ExperienceĀ 

  • Knowledge of medical billing or willingness to learnĀ

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Ā

Salary Range: Please note that the hourly range for this position will vary based on experience level, education and geographical location.

$18.00 - $24.00 / hour
