We are looking for a highly skilled and detail oriented Database Administrator to join our dynamic and innovative team.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Administer and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Monitor database performance and execute tuning strategies to improve efficiency.
- Design, implement, and manage database backup and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with development and operational teams to address database-related needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Configure and optimize databases in an Azure Infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce database security protocols to protect sensitive data.
- Provide technical guidance and support for database-related projects.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and standards for future reference.
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $89,000. Â Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

What You'll Bring:
- 3+ years of Database Administrator experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database and SQL Managed Instance as well as Oracle or DB2 for z/OS.
- Solid experience working in Microsoft Azure with Certifications.
- Solid working experience with Service Now.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to collaborate closely with operations and IT teams both onsite and offshore.
- Strong understanding of database performance tuning techniques.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery processes for databases.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve database issues effectively.
- Familiarity with database security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Skils
Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.
