Database Administrator (HYBRID)

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail oriented Database Administrator to join our dynamic and innovative team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Administer and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitor database performance and execute tuning strategies to improve efficiency.
• Design, implement, and manage database backup and recovery processes.
• Collaborate with development and operational teams to address database-related needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Configure and optimize databases in an Azure Infrastructure.
• Develop and enforce database security protocols to protect sensitive data.
• Provide technical guidance and support for database-related projects.
• Document database configurations, procedures, and standards for future reference.

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $89,000.  Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

What You'll Bring:

• 3+ years of Database Administrator experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database and SQL Managed Instance as well as Oracle or DB2 for z/OS.
• Solid experience working in Microsoft Azure with Certifications.
• Solid working experience with Service Now.
• Strong communication skills at all levels.
• Ability to collaborate closely with operations and IT teams both onsite and offshore.
• Strong understanding of database performance tuning techniques.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery processes for databases.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve database issues effectively.
• Familiarity with database security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Skils

Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.
