Position Summary:
Mohawk Global is seeking a Domestic Logistics Coordinator to support our Syracuse office. This position requires regular and direct interfacing with Mohawk’s clients and carriers to ensure a high level of performance in the movement of goods through the domestic supply chain, from start to finish. The Domestic Logistics Coordinator must possess an inquisitive mindset to investigate and resolve problem shipments and other aspects of intermodal freight management.Â

Responsibilities/Tasks include:Â
- Efficiently match available freight loads with available carrier optionsÂ
- Build and track freight loads (FTL and LTL) in the Company’s Transportation Management System (TMS)Â
- Negotiate with trucking companies to select carriersÂ
- Communicate regularly with truckers and carriers to build long-term, trusted partnerships and sell Mohawk servicesÂ
- Negotiate pricing and prepare quotes for clientsÂ
- Maximize brokerage coverage by developing and maintaining excellent relationships with our clients and suppliersÂ
- Complete Routings with all the appropriate documents to provide to our pickup / delivery agents, airlines and clientsÂ
- Interface with Mohawk suppliers to ensure accuracy of deliveries and recoveries of freight daily.Â
- Providing timely responses, regular status updates and accurate information to our clientsÂ
Desired Skills/Experience:Â
- 1-3 years of experience working in freight brokerage/trucking/warehousing preferredÂ
- College degree (Associates or Bachelors) preferred; major/concentration in logistics, supply chain, business, accounting or other applicable field of study preferredÂ
- Should possess a strong attention to accuracy and detailÂ
- Must possess polished, professional communication skills, both verbal and writtenÂ
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and be receptive to professional feedback regarding developmental opportunitiesÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and OutlookÂ
- Professional attitude, good work ethic and a desire to learn and contribute to the success of the businessÂ
