Non-Exempt: $19.00 - $20.00/hourÂ

About the RoleÂ
We are looking for a proactive employee to provide pre- and post-employment skill development and employment opportunities for individuals who have an intellectual/developmental disability.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering person-centered services from a special education perspective
- Assessing and documenting participant’s skills, needs, and interests to determine appropriate supports
- Researching, developing, and creating competitive internships and employment opportunities
- Developing and maintaining relationships with local businesses, human resources groups, and employment networks
- Providing job coaching
Education & ExperienceÂ
High school diploma, required. Bachelor’s degree in Education or Psychology, preferred.
Experience working with individuals with an intellectual/developmental disability, preferred.Â
OPWDD experience, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required skills include: active listening and effective speaking, time management, critical thinking, basic technology/e-mail, reading comprehension, effective written and verbal expression.Â
Conditions of Employment
Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license and transportation necessary to meet program needs.
