We are hiring for an Assistant Galley Operations Manager position for cruise company Margaritaville at Sea!

As an Assistant Galley Operations Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Food and
Beverage team with USPH Training, control of all Kitchen stewarding personnel, Galley
Equipmentโ€™s Maintenance related to USPH standard, Self public health inspections in compliance
with company standards.

โš“ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintenance of all Galley equipment in the galleys, Training of the F&B crew as per U.S.P.H. requirements. Responsible for the training, motivation and continued education of all food workers to maintain proper food handling and cleaning procedures, as set forth by U.S.P.H standards.
  • Oversee the Public health standard of all Galleys, food outlets with the help of Restaurant
  • Manager and the galley area with the help of Executive Chef and express his opinion with an expectation.
  • Oversee the overall equipment and chemical budget by reviewing financial transactions and monitoring inventories to ensure an efficient operation, and to ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations.
  • Responsible for the entire cycle of equipment and chemical ordering, loading, storing, preparing and final delivery.
  • Ensure that all rules and regulations stipulated by the company are followed regarding each specific step of the operation as per company policies.
  • Ensure that all safety procedures are adhered to, cooperating with the Hotel Director, Staff Captain and Safety Officer in the Shipโ€™s Safety Program and that all shipโ€™s rules and regulations are followed.

โš“ REQUIEREMENTS:

  • Minimum 21 years old
  • Relevant ship experience is preferred
  • Good level of English language
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent.
  • Three to five years progressive managerial experience on cruise ships.
  • Ability to manage the financial aspects of a stewarding operation, including the successful identification of expense reduction through cost efficiencies.
  • Ability to manage headcount within area as it relates to and supports the business needs of the vessel.
  • Extensive knowledge of food handling procedures regarding public health standards.
  • Ability to work positively and cooperatively in a diverse team environment to meet established overall timeframes for the entire operation.
  • Very strong communication, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Superior customer service, teambuilding and conflict resolution skills.
