We are currently looking for a Full Time Physical Therapist to join our Inpatient Rehab Department.

Eligible for a $5,000 Sign On Bonus!

 

Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate, organize and conduct physical therapy programs upon physician’s referral to help patients reach their maximum performance level.

  • Determine individual patient condition and develop individual therapy plan in coordination with proper exercise techniques and modalities.
  • Apply diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint and functional ability tests.
  • Teach patient and family proper use and care of equipment such as braces, wheelchairs, prosthetic devices.
  • Supervise physical therapy supportive personnel, physical therapy students, and/or volunteers.
  • Maintain good working relations with other departments in relation to the philosophy at St. Camillus Rehabilitation Center.
  • Act as a mentor to new employees.
  • Consult with patients, family and/or health team in regard to treatment programs, progress, and planning.
  • Attend patient conferences as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of current advances in the field of physical therapy.
  • Participate as appropriate in program and facility development.
  • Maintain cognizance of State and Federal regulations affecting physical therapy.
  • Responsible for employee injury prevention, follows safety rules, and addresses safety issues with supervisor.


 
Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited college or university.
  • Possess a license as a Physical Therapist from the State of New York
