Product Support Sales Representative

Compensation contingent on experience and skills of $60,000 + incentives. 


Curtis Power Solutions, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, has an opening for a Product Support Sales Representative at our location in Syracuse, NY location.


Key Responsibilities:

Professional Communication
  • Seek new opportunities for establishing new PM agreements for power generation maintenance.
  • Promote & establish strong customer relationships with CPS to support PM agreement renewals.
  • Promptly respond to customer requests for proposals/estimates.
  • Communicate with appropriate CPS personnel in the assessment of any customer agreement/contract terms. Contracts must meet minimum profit expectations established by CPS.  Deviation from minimum profit expectations must be preapproved prior to contract presentation and execution.
  • Communicate with appropriate CPS personnel after successfully obtaining a PM agreement/contract and discuss the details to meet all the requirements and obligations. Regular communication is required with service personnel in order to coordinate the PM schedule and ensure that obligations are being satisfied.  
  • All customer interaction must be professional and courteous.  Customer issues or complaints that cannot be addressed in this fashion should be forwarded to the Service Manager for resolution.  Under no circumstances should the Service Sales Representative engage in unprofessional argument with the customer.
  • Provide follow up communication on all proposals to properly track award status.
  • Perform site visits weekly that must encompass 35% of weekly communication volume

Administrative Processing

  • Develop proposals in accordance with scope of supply.
    • Assemble supporting documentation to present to CSR when a job has been awarded.
    • Sales Proposal
    • Parts Quote
    • Cost work sheet
    • Vendor quotation.
    • Credit processing/paperwork
  • Review preventive maintenance reports for corrective/follow up actions to promote additional services.
  • Weekly review of sales call report with service manager.
  • A Service Sales Representative must be trained and proficient in all systems and applications for information relevant to providing estimates and PM proposals.
  • The Service Sales Representative must actively monitor all current and future jobs to ensure timely delivery of the scope of supply.
  • Provide status updates to all stake holders, including possible delays or change orders.
  • This position requires occasional driving
