We are looking for a Production Control Coordinator to join our team at Bluefors in Syracuse, NY. In this role, you will support multiple departments by managing production documentation, generating work orders, and ensuring accurate data flow across operations. Your tasks will include supporting inventory control by running supply and demand models within the ERP system to align production needs. You will generate, print, and release work orders and pick lists to the production floor, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. You will perform work order closing transactions to update inventory quantities, including tracking work-in-progress to finished goods. In addition, you will create and distribute work order packets, assist with job routing coordination, and maintain accurate electronic documentation through data entry and filing. You will attend meetings to gather updates on new orders, revisions, supplier issues, and production timelines, and communicate scheduling requirements or shortages with floor supervisors. You will also coordinate material and supply ordering, monitor quality-related part needs, generate reports, update presentations, and support general administrative tasks using Microsoft Office tools.


We are looking for a candidate with a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of administrative or manufacturing planning experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An associate degree in a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. You should demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, solid interpersonal abilities, and effective time management. Experience working with ERP systems is highly preferred, along with familiarity with bills of materials, routings, and inventory control methods. You should be comfortable entering large volumes of data accurately and efficiently and be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.

Main Responsibilities include the following:

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, and use hand and finger dexterity. The employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and up to 50 pounds in a manufacturing setting. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
This role operates in both office and manufacturing environments. The employee interacts with internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining confidentiality as needed. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers are used regularly. In the manufacturing environment, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, heat, cold, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderately loud, and required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as applicable.
