Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with customers, employees, and law enforcement while responding to situations with integrity and care. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to retail location customers, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within the retail location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to established procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities while maintaining professional communication with store personnel and law enforcement as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
