Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Driver Patrol in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and contribute through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s caring, reliable culture.

Pay Rate: $23.44 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and traffic or parking-related needs while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
