Job DetailsJob Location: Caseys Place Syracuse - Syracuse, NY 13205Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $22.00 - $24.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: SomeJob Shift: FlexibleJob Category: Nonprofit - Social ServicesThe Casey’s Place Shift Supervisor will provide oversight, and direction for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) along with ensuring daily operations of respite services are implemented following Elmcrest policies, regulations of NYS OPWDD HCBS waiver, and regulations of the 1915C Children’s HCBS waiver. Responsibilities: On-call, every other week. Medication Administration Certified  Confirm guests for all programs.  Create and post daily and weekend attendance sheets. Complete daily and weekend staff assignments and post on board. Send guest letters and guest checklists prior to overnight stays. Oversite and support of staff performance to ensure quality of service. Assist Program Supervisor in completing OPWDD Core Competencies and coaching meetings as needed.  Attend monthly staff meetings and quarterly Safe Patient Handling meetings. Attend weekly supervisions with Program Supervisor. Coverage of guests as needed. Assist with the onboarding of newly hired staff.  Plan and implement community and onsite children’s activities. Oversight of daily cleaning of house. Complete regulatory safety procedures (fire drills and water temperature checks). Remain in compliance with all Elmcrest and oversight agency trainings. Assist in the management of daily operations per direction from Administrators. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities. Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Valid driver’s license. Flexible work schedule. Essential Job Qualifications: Ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance. Ability to sit, squat, crouch and stand for elongated periods of time Ability to lift arms over head in upward reaching motion. Ability to walk up and downstairs up to several times per day. Manage children’s behaviors according to approved and appropriate techniques when necessary (TCI). Varying levels of travel as determined by departmental needs may be required with this position.
