Sr Plumbing Engineer- Hybrid

 We’re hiring a Plumbing Engineer to support one of our top MEP clients focused on delivering commercial building system designs across various sectors. This is a technical role that blends design, analysis, and field insight- perfect for someone who thrives on creating efficient, code-compliant plumbing and fire protection systems from concept through construction. You'll work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to drive projects forward.

 Key Responsibilities:

·       Design and layout of plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm, and vent piping

·       Collaborate with MEP teams to coordinate system integration within building models

·       Develop fire protection system designs in accordance with NFPA and building code requirements

·       Perform hydraulic calculations and ensure system sizing aligns with project performance standards

·       Conduct site visits to support field verifications, punch lists, and installation reviews

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required

·         3+ years of experience in plumbing system design for commercial buildings

·         Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for MEP modeling and documentation

·         Familiarity with applicable building codes, ADA, and fire protection regulations

·         Understanding of hydraulic principles, pipe sizing, and pressure loss calculations

·         PE license preferred or on track to obtain (EIT also considered)

·         Strong communication skills and ability to work on cross-functional project teams

·         Field experience with system layout verification or construction support is a plus
