Description

If you are a team player with a passion to drive your career in Construction Inspection, Popli Design Group (PDG) is the place for you! PDG is seeking an experienced Construction Office Engineer or an individual who is interested in learning Office Engineering duties. Construction Office Engineers support our construction inspection field sites and project work in regions across the state by providing communication, review and documentation of different processes throughout the project. 

  

Responsibilities:

  • Set up project field offices and document filing systems
  • Maintain all project records, paperwork and filing
  • Liaise with State/Local agencies and   partnered engineering firms
  • Track project correspondence between   clients, onsite staff, EICs, contractors and subcontractors 
  • Track quantity of work items completed and process   progress estimates for contractor payments 
  • Review inspection staff daily work reports 
  • Schedule QA/QC material testing and document   material acceptances
  • Record Progress Meetings minutes
  • Review Change Orders and Force Account Work   documentation
  • Complete Project Closeout

Required Skills:

  • High Level Organizational Skills
  • Written and Verbal Communication Skills 
  • Advanced Attention to Detail
  • Microsoft Suite and a willingness and ability to learn new software
  • Experience   with AASHTO SiteManager Software is Beneficial
  • Ability to Multi-task

Experience, Education and Certification:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or Construction Management 
  • Or 3-years of Construction Inspection Experience 
  • A Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.

Work Environment:

 

The Office Engineer will typically be working in a Construction Field Office located on the specific project site. They would be working with engineering management and inspection staff, contractor office and field staff, and the Project Engineer-in-Charge. 

Travel will be required for specific project assignments with some ability to perform work remotely subject to project work demands.

  

Physical Demands:

  • The job requires prolonged periods of sitting at a computer.
  • Walking, stooping, and bending as needed 
  • The ability and willingness to travel when needed
