He enjoys going to familiar places in the community such as chuck-e-cheese, Dave & Busters, the mall and out to eat. He is open to exploring new experiences with staff support.   The family would prefer to have a male candidate but is open to a female DSP.  The ideal candidate would be aware of activities available in Syracuse and encourage him to try new things.   This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services. at the agency.   Hours and days of work: Monday-Friday 10a-2pm with flexibility for weekends and other times. Average 20 hours per week.   Starting pay:  Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.   Location: Syracuse, NY     Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community. Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred. New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.   Qualifications Must have a valid drivers license  Effective communication and organizational skills required. Flexibility with assignments and schedule required. Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time. Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
