The Level 1 Registered Nurse (RN) in the Outpatient Dialysis unit provides safe, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatments. This full-time role supports patient monitoring, treatment delivery, education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care to outpatient dialysis patients following established clinical protocols
- Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments, including vital signs and patient response
- Initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis treatments as ordered
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders
- Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, care plans, and self-management
- Accurately document care and patient progress in the electronic medical record
- Identify and report changes in patient condition promptly
- Maintain strict infection control and safety standards
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, dialysis technicians, and healthcare team members
- $44–$48/hour (based on experience)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience preferred (dialysis experience a plus, not required)
- BLS required
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume outpatient dialysis environment
