Job DetailsJob Location: 721 Fawcett Ave - Tacoma, WA 98402Education Level: Graduate DegreeSalary Range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 Salary/yearJob Category: Health CareThe Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) provides advanced nursing care and clinical leadership in a comprehensive behavioral health program, including outpatient behavioral health services, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders, and inpatient/withdrawal management settings. The ARNP will practice autonomously within the scope of their license under Washington law, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care in accordance with state certification/license requirements. The ARNP is responsible for clinical assessments, evaluation and prescribing medications to assist in the recovery journeys of those we serve. Strong candidates will have a background in providing treatment for mental health and substance use disorders. The work is fitting for strong individuals who thrive and understand care situations often involving challenging and complex needs of others; as such, we seek candidates with a high degree of patience and diplomacy. This position will include interaction with individuals who may have unpredictable behavior. Performs routine medical examinations, evaluations and assessments under established guidelines. Provides clinical treatment consistent with the provision of basic health care services. Prescribes medications and provides clear instructions to nurses for drug administration. Regularly reviews cases requiring ongoing medical/pharmaceutical attention. All the documents provided services in the electronic medical record system, ensuring that required documentation is complete according to WAC in a timely manner. Practice within the scope of ARNP license in Washington with full practice authority. Maintains compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable RCWs/WACs. Communicate with patients and families regarding treatment and care when necessary. Provides all required annual documentation to Human Resources and completes all required training in a timely manner. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Commitment to culturally competent, trauma-informed care. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing. A minimum of 2 years’ experience treating patients with substance use disorders in an inpatient setting. Active WA ARNP license, with prescriptive authority and without any restrictions. Advanced understanding of medications prescribed in the treatment of substance use disorders. Two years of direct work as a Psychiatric/Behavioral Nurse Practitioner Active WA DEA license Experience in behavioral health (mental health and/or substance use disorders), including outpatient services and MAT. Experience or willingness to practice in inpatient withdrawal management/detoxification settings preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage complex clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use Ability to manage complex clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Knowledge of symptom management and mental health disorders. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of the Pierce County public mental health system and community resources. Must have current TB test or x-ray at time of hire. Must have a current First Aid/CPR card per licensing requirements.
