Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nuclear Med Tech, you will be a specialized healthcare professional, vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides.Every day, you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. You'll ensure appropriate patient care, recognize conditions essential for successful procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety.To be successful in this role demands current certification, advanced technical expertise, and an exceptional eye for detail, coupled with a thorough understanding of radiation safety. Your compassionate patient care and dedication to precise imaging will be essential.

 

  • Prepares and calibrates imaging equipment and administers radio-pharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring quality results and patient safety.
  • Prepares patients, thoroughly explains procedures, and provides basic patient care, including responding to emergencies.
  • Performs nuclear medicine procedures using appropriate equipment and adhering to internal protocols to optimize diagnostic information.
  • Maintains comprehensive records, including patient charts, administered doses, and regulatory logs, as required.
  • Manages radioactive materials and waste according to legal and safety protocols, including proper storage and disposal.
  • Assists with general office duties, participates in inventory and ordering, and ensures accurate record-keeping.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Associates Other Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program, upon hire or
  • Bachelors Other Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program, upon hire and
  • Lead: One year of work experience in the senior level of the job family, or any combination of experience or education thatwould demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
  • Medical Radiographer: WA, upon hire and
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire
