About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our woodworking cabinet production facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and has a solid background in both mechanical and electrical systems. You'll be responsible for keeping our equipment running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on woodworking machinery, including:
    • Edgebanders
    • Panel saws
    • Point‑to‑point CNC routers
    • Doweling machines
    • Case clamps
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, misalignment, or potential failures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and parts inventory.
  • Assist with machine setup, calibration, and optimization to support production needs.
  • Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure machines operate within safety standards.
  • Support facility maintenance tasks such as lighting, compressors, dust collection systems, and general building upkeep.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing industrial woodworking equipment.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, including motors, sensors, wiring, and control panels.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Experience with CNC machinery troubleshooting is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with PLCs is a plus (not required).
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience maintaining electrical equipment.
  • Experience leading a team of maintenance personnel or supervisory experience.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous maintenance experience in a woodworking, cabinet, or millwork facility.
  • Knowledge of dust collection systems and shop safety standards.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs.

This role is hands‑on and requires time on the production floor. You'll be part of a team that values craftsmanship, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
