The Port of Seattle Rental Car Facility is hiring Seasonal Bus Drivers to support increased airport activity during the FIFA and cruise season. Seasonal drivers will provide service to SEA Airport passengers traveling between the Rental Car Facility and the airport. This is a closed-loop route that is not open to the public.
As a Seasonal Bus Driver for the Rental Car Facility (RCF), you will safely and efficiently transport passengers to and from airport facilities while providing outstanding customer service.Â
- You will operate 40’ passenger buses with automatic transmissions, along a fixed route according to time schedules, while complying with all traffic regulations.Â
- You will perform routine pre and post trip walk around visual inspections to check for damage to vehicle and ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Â
- You will report any defects to duty supervisor and file appropriate trip reports using inspection application.Â
- You will use a radio system to communicate with other drivers, supervisors, and base operations via established radio procedures.Â
- You will attend training and staff meetings as required.Â
- You will respond to airport emergencies as needed.Â
- You may be required to monitor fuel levels and perform fueling in a safe and efficient manner.Â
- Experienced – You have a valid Washington State Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B with a Passenger (P1) endorsement and a Department of Transportation Health Card.

- Commercial Driver License – Candidate may be disqualified for a conviction or citation of any of the following during the past 5 years:Â
- More than two (2) moving violations and/or at-fault accidents of any kindÂ
- Speeding over 15mph above the speed limitÂ

- Negligent drivingÂ
- Driving while under the influence of alcohol or other drugsÂ
- License suspended / revoked / cancelled / restrictedÂ
- Hit and runÂ

- Leaving the scene of an accidentÂ
- CDL Requirement - Will be required to participate in the Port of Seattle Drug and Alcohol Program as required by the Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration. This may include submitting an additional application disclosing 10 years of employment and 3 years of driver history, MVR verification, 3-year drug and alcohol reference check, pre-employment drug test, and ongoing participation in a random drug and alcohol test program.
