Pay Rate: $18.16-$19.16 per hour (weekend differential available)
Schedule: Monday & Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Advancing Opportunities, an affiliate of Apis Services, is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). In this rewarding role, you will support individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in a residential setting, helping them achieve greater independence while promoting their health, safety, dignity, and quality of life.

Essential Responsibilities

As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide hands-on assistance, guidance, and encouragement to individuals in support of their personal goals and daily activities. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with daily living activities such as cooking, housekeeping, and personal hygiene
  • Supporting health and wellness goals, including medication assistance and healthy lifestyle practices
  • Encouraging participation in community activities, recreation, shopping, and appointments
  • Promoting social interaction, communication skills, and positive coping strategies
  • Assisting with budgeting and money management skills
  • Encouraging independence, self-advocacy, dignity, and informed choice
  • Maintaining a safe, supportive, and person-centered environment
  • Completing required documentation and communicating effectively with team members

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must:

  • Be at least 20 years of age
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • Hold a valid driver's license
  • Successfully complete:
    • State and federal criminal background checks
    • Drug screening
    • Pre-employment physical and PPD/TB testing
  • Complete all required orientation and training programs
