GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Media Specialist promotes the positive image of the Cherokee Nation to the media and the public through the use of audio, video, and computer equipment.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree.
• Two (2) years of related experience.
COMPENTENCIES
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to build strong working relationships
• Advance computer skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient in design software
• Working knowledge of video and audio equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENES, REGISTRATIONS
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
