Guided by our values of integrity, respect, and excellence, we are seeking an experienced Foundation Programs & Communication Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate for the Foundation Programs & Communication Specialist is responsible for Supporting the mission of the Big Bend Hospice Foundation by delivering high-quality administrative, project management, and marketing support across fundraising, donor relations, special events, and communications. This role coordinates day-to-day operations, manages timelines and deliverables for foundation projects, and helps develop and execute marketing campaigns that increase awareness, engagement, and philanthropic support.   Position Duties and Responsibilities:   The Foundation Programs & Communication Specialist responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:  Serve as the administrative and operational hub for the Foundation, managing calendars, meetings, travel and expenses, vendors, records, policies, SOPs, and shared project calendars. Maintain accurate donor and prospect records in the CRM, including gift entry, acknowledgments, reporting, data hygiene, and mailing list management. Prepare and send timely donor acknowledgments, memorial and tribute letters, and customized correspondence in coordination with events and fundraising activities. Coordinate and track Foundation initiatives such as appeals, grants, stewardship plans, and special events, collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Volunteer Services, and Clinical teams. Draft, edit, and publish marketing and donor communications across email, web, social media, newsletters, and print, ensuring brand consistency and compliance. Support campaign planning, content calendars, website updates, list segmentation, and performance tracking for targeted outreach. Assist with fundraising efforts including direct mail and digital appeals, donor stewardship materials, grant support documentation, and event logistics and reporting. Produce dashboards and reports on donations, pipelines, campaign performance, and donor trends; conduct basic prospect research and gift tracking. Ensure confidentiality, regulatory compliance, and ethical standards in fundraising, marketing, and donor communications, including HIPAA and consent requirements. Perform additional duties as assigned in support of Foundation goals. performs other duties as assigned.    Work Schedule:   Monday-Friday: 8:00 am- 5:00 pm. On-Site in Tallahassee Florida skills & QualificationsEducation & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, administration, communications or related field, or equivalent relevant experience 2+ years in any combination of development/fundraising, marketing/communications, or project coordination roles (nonprofit experience preferred). Skills & Abilities:  Proficiency with productivity tools (Microsoft 365), project tools (e.g., Planner, Asana, Strong writing and editing skills; eye for detail and brand consistency. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Discretion with sensitive information. Preferred Skills/ Experience: Experience with a donor CRM. Familiarity with basic design tools (Canva, Adobe Express) and web CMS updates (WordPress or similar). Understanding of fundraising best practices (annual fund, stewardship, events, grants).
