With over 60 years of service to the community as the premier imaging center in Tallahassee, we continue to grow and thrive. We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This is a full time, benefits-eligible position. 

Schedule: 40 hour per week  with 8 hour shifts, Monday-Friday between 6a and 9p and occasional Saturdays. Some call will also be required. 

This position includes:

• 45%      shift differential for hours after 6p
• 50%      shift differential for weekend hours

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: 

Responsible for assisting in patient care duties as related to MR and physician demands.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Preparation of MRI patients for their respective examinations.
• Reads patient notes and follows patient safety screening instructions.
• Forwards the patient to appropriate personnel concerning questions about procedures.
• Dressing of patient appropriately for their MRI procedures.
• Preparation and assistance of all hospital inpatients for their MRI studies and assisting them with the completion of their paperwork if necessary.
• Assist patient escorts (nurses, sitters) with care of hospital inpatients.
• Assist technologists with moving and lifting of patients, assisting patients to the restroom, and any other patient care duties as needed.
• Stocking and organization of all work area, to include all MRI scan rooms, patient holding areas, storerooms, et cetera.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

EDUCATION:

High school degree or equivalent.  

KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of health care field.
