Job Responsibilities: Answering high volume incoming calls professionally;  booking, rescheduling or canceling patient appointments within the electronic health record (EHR/EMR) system. Transferring clinical or medical questions to the appropriate nursing or medical staff. Logging detailed notes for every patient interaction in the EHR system. Verifiying patient demographic information and insurance coverage. 

 

Requirements and Skills: 1-2 years of customer service, office or call center experience (healthcare background preferred) Proficiency with computers and medical software. Medical terminology knowledge helpful. 

Strong verbal , active listening and de-escalation skills with compassion, empathy and respect, while adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality rules.
