Seeking a skilled System Administrator with strong experience in Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server, and enterprise networking. This role supports day-to-day operations, infrastructure stability, and ongoing improvements across virtualized and physical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Hyper-V hosts, virtual machines, clustering, and storage.
- Administer Windows Server environments, including AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file services.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, including switches, firewalls, VLANs, routing, and VPNs.
- Perform system updates, patching, backups, and disaster-recovery tasks.
- Implement security best practices and assist with compliance requirements.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for server, network, and virtualization issues.
- Document configurations, procedures, and changes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Hands-on experience with Hyper-V (VM creation, replication, failover clustering).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnets, routing, VLANs, and firewall concepts.
- Proficiency with Windows Server administration.
- Familiarity with PowerShell for automation is a plus.
- Ability to diagnose complex issues and work independently.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, management information systems, or certain other information technology-based fields of study and two years of relevant information technology experience.
- Relevant information technology experience and training may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the four years of college education.
