Job Summary:

 

Genesis Consulting is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Pega Developer to support a public sector client in its critical modernization initiative focused on transforming a public-facing, mission-essential applications. This role will contribute to the redesign, development, and cloud migration of key systems, enhancing customer experience, operational efficiency, and long-term scalability.

 

The Pega Developer will play a key role in the rewrite and phased migration of two key applications to the client’s Pega Cloud for Government platform. This effort is central to the broader modernization strategy, which aims to improve system performance, user experience, security, and maintainability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·        Design, develop, and implement applications using the Pega platform in alignment with the client’s modernization goals.

·        Lead and contribute to the rewrite of legacy applications, ensuring continuity of statutory, regulatory, and financial processing requirements.

·        Support cloud migration efforts to Pega Cloud for Government, including phased deployment strategies and system integration.

·        Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Pega solutions.

·        Optimize workflows and case management processes to improve efficiency and user experience.

·        Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and performance standards required for government systems.

·        Participate in system testing, debugging, and performance tuning.

·        Contribute to the development of reusable components and adherence to Pega best practices and guardrails.

·        Assist in data migration, system integration, and API development as needed.

·        Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.



Requirements

·        3+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using the Pega Platform.

·        Experience working with government agencies or regulated environments.

·        Strong experience with Pega Case Management, BPM, and decisioning frameworks.

·        Experience with application modernization and legacy system transformation.

·        Familiarity with cloud-based deployments, preferably Pega Cloud or similar environments.

·        Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, system integrations, and data migration.

·        Strong understanding of application security, scalability, and performance optimization.

·        Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.

·        Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

·        Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

 

Minimum Education:

 

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

 

Required Certifications:

 

·        Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) or Senior System Architect (CSSA) certification preferred.
