HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

 Your Role:

  • Provides expert medication management to optimize patient outcomes and ensure effective, safe, and cost-efficient drug use.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of diversity.

  • Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues, visitors, and patients. Leads and manages therapeutic drug monitoring and pharmacokinetic dosing practices.
  • Leads evidence-based medication management and clinical practice advancement to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Serves as a key clinical leader within the multidisciplinary care team.
  • Leads formulary management, stewardship, and clinical/operational optimization initiatives.
  • Leads education and professional development initiatives for patients, caregivers, and healthcare personnel.
  • Provides advanced clinical and operational oversight to ensure safe, effective, and efficient medication use.
  • Performs Pharmacist (JC: 021702) duties (as required).
  • Performs miscellaneous duties not expressly described herein.

Reports To: Asst Dir Pharmacy Clin Program (job code (JC): 020801)

 

Supervises: None. Oversees pharmacy technicians’ work but does not supervise directly.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited pharmacy school

Required Experience:

  • One (1) year of hospital registered pharmacist experience. Human Resources (HR) may accept the successful completion of a postgraduate year one (PYG1) pharmacy residency in lieu of the required hospital pharmacist experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of post-graduate year one (PGY1) and post-graduate year two (PGY2) residencies.
  • Advanced training (e.g., residency, fellowship, and/or board certification).
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of clinical pharmacy experience.
  • Effective communication skills. Leadership skills. Ability to work independently. Professional demeanor. Mature. Independent. Takes initiative.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

  • Licensed [or eligible for licensure (i.e., meets all statutory requirements for Florida licensure application)] as a pharmacist in accordance with Florida Statutes (F.S.), Title XXXII (Regulations of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 465 (Pharmacy), Sections 007 through 013.
