Welder/Fabricator – John Deere Construction & Forestry Equipment

Position Summary
The Welder/Fabricator repairs, modifies, and fabricates components for John Deere construction, forestry, and industrial equipment in both shop and field environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding repairs on heavy equipment, attachments, and structural components.
- Fabricate metal parts and assemblies from drawings, measurements, and specifications.
- Operate welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and structural integrity.
- Complete work orders and repair documentation accurately.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience welding and fabricating heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or structural steel preferred.
- Strong welding, metal fabrication, and blueprint-reading skills.
- Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to lift, climb, bend, and work in shop and outdoor environments.
