About the Role:
As a Full Time Teller at our South Tallassee location, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers conducting financial transactions at the bank. Your role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service while accurately processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other banking activities. You will contribute to the overall efficiency and security of branch operations by adhering to established policies and procedures. Additionally, you will identify customer needs and refer them to appropriate banking specialists to support their financial goals. Your attention to detail and professionalism will help maintain the bank’s reputation for trustworthiness and reliability.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a financial institution.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with diverse customers.
- Ability to work full-time hours 8:00am-5:30pm.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using banking software or teller systems.
- Knowledge of banking products and services.
- Certification as a bank teller or related financial credential.
- Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base.
- Demonstrated ability to identify sales opportunities and refer customers effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Process routine banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain compliance with banking regulations and internal policies to ensure the security and confidentiality of customer information.
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Identify opportunities to promote bank products and services that meet customer needs and refer customers to appropriate specialists.
