SUMMARY
We are currently hiring a Retail Team Leader. Previous experience taken into consideration, and advancement is available. Successful applicants will have some previous Retail/cash drawer experience and be comfortable talking with customers. Our store is open 7 days/week and the work shift will vary. Candidates must be able to work full-time and have a flexible schedule, including evenings, Fridays, and at least 1 weekend day: Saturday or Sunday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greets customers on sales floor and assist customers with merchandise desired.
  • Provides technical advice whenever possible.
  • Displays merchandise, suggests selections that meet customer's needs, and emphasizes selling points of article such as quality and utility.
  • Maintains proper traffic flow of customers in the store.
  • Assists the Retail Supervisors and Manager with store operations.
  • Assigns duties to workers to maintain optimum productivity, and schedules break periods, work hours, and vacations.
  • Trains workers on store policies, department procedures, and job duties.
  • Recommends additions to or deletions of merchandise to be sold in department.
  • Assists sales workers in completing difficult sales.
  • Sells merchandise.
  • Assists with planning department layout, or merchandise, or advertising display.
  • Assists with store restocking.
  • Performs interviews with applicants
  • Writes and presents employee evaluations, counselings, annual reviews, etc.
  • Assists with customer complaints and difficult returns as needed.
  • Interacts and communicates with other department team leaders and supervisors, and attends department meetings as scheduled.
  • Responsible for assisting and working all areas of the Retail store as needed.
  • Responsible for all activity in the safe including charge orders, drops, bank deposits, etc.
  • Responsible for performing cashier audits daily.
  • Responsible for safety and security of Retail store.
  • Responsible for filling out all necessary paperwork and documents related to operation of the Retail store.
  • Process customer drop ships.
