Job DetailsJob Location: Tamarac, FL 33321Position Type: Full TimeBFS Mechanic Leader profile performs general supervision, performs advanced level preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all BFS equipment and systems, and conducts line changeovers and mechanical set-up of all equipment in accordance with the production schedule; provides lead direction and training to other level staff and performs technical and specialized mechanical set-up duties. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Acts as mechanical BFS Subject Matter Expert. PM and Breakdown: responsible for the overall preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs of BFS machines, ensuring minimum equipment downtime and seamless operations. Equipment Changeovers: shall be efficient to ensure accurate equipment changeovers to facilitate smooth transitions between different BFS products and configurations. BFS Startup and Major Adjustments: Ensure proper setup of the BFS parison, mould, and punch during BFS startup and make necessary major adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency. Troubleshooting response to any issues that arise during BFS production, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and implement corrective measures to minimize manufacturing downtime. Process Optimization monitor BFS production processes and identify opportunities for improvement, implementing optimization measures to enhance efficiency and product quality. SOP Development and Training preparation and control of SOP and assuring performance based on SOP and related documentation of maintenance. Support Investigations shall be able to understand in depth of technical issues to find and mitigate root cause. Training and Development up to date with technical need to the machine to supervise and guidance to BFS Mechanic Compliance of maintenance program and activities Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and state federal and local laws. Conducts required monthly preventative maintenance on all BFS equipment. Performs troubleshooting and repairs of BFS and processing equipment and mechanical and control systems. Performs schedule and other maintenance of all BFS equipment and performs specialized and critical repairs. Performs BFS line set-ups and changeovers, when needed or required. Provides work direction to other staff and organizes and assists with department training programs. Complies with all company equipment, safety, OSHA rules and regulations. Complies with all company policies and procedures. Maintains maintenance work areas in a clean and orderly manner. Support department goals for output and efficiencies. Performs related duties as assigned. Training to BFS operator and mechanic for maintenance technique and operational excelance. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent with technical certifications or relevant vocational training. Experience: Experience as a BFS Mechanic and understanding of BFS Technology preferred. A minimum of 5 - 7 years working directly with manufacturing and BFS equipment and systems or equivalent job experience preferred. Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering in regulated Food / OTC Pharmaceuticals manufacturing environment preferred.
