Costume Specialist, Senior

What you get to do:
As a Costume Specialist, Senior, you will:

• Pattern, construct , and fit costumes
• Make costume alterations and repairs
• Launder and maintain costumes
• Organize and inventory costumes and materials
• Open and close shop for distribution of daily costumes and special events
• Transport costumes
• Special projects as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma, or the equivalent
• Previous experience as a Seamstress for Busch Gardens Tampa
• Construction and/or costume design abilities (required)
• Excellent hand and machine sewing skills
• Ability to multi-task under high pressure
• Able to dress a show if circumstances require team assistance.
• Ability to follow specific instructions based on needs of an item
• Ability to work flexible schedule to include Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team oriented environment
• Ability to push, pull, and lift 20 pounds below and overhead.
• Stand for up to 2 hours, sit for 1 hour, squat, kneel, and bend at waist repeatedly

What else is important:

• Able to lift, push, and pull a maximum of 25 lbs. several times throughout a scheduled shift
• Able to stand, sit, lie down, squat, and bend repeatedly throughout the day
• Able to climb two flights of stairs multiple times a day
