What you get to do:  
• Ensure safety, education/development, and compliance of team members 

• Oversee and manage in the field all aspects of the Horticulture and Pest Control Operations  
• Daily oversight of staff to ensure compliance in all policies and procedures relative to operation 

• Oversee labor/expense budgets to ensure operational efficiency and accountability  
• Conduct regular meetings for feedback from supervisory and front-line team members to determine any problem areas or concerns 

• Identify and manage corrective and enhancement actions 
• Engage with peers and others to advance all department and organizational objectives broadly 
• Communicate with internal and external guests/customers to achieve optimal guest satisfaction and good business relations with vendors and contractors  
• Complete other assignments as needed 

What it takes to succeed:

• Must be at least 18 years of age 
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent 
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leading role in a horticultural environment with demonstrated success, managing teams within a theme park, hospitality, grounds or pest control management preferred 

• Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) and use the appropriate methods to treat infestations 

• Ability to grow leaders and develop diverse, competent, professional and efficient teams to meet strategic goals 
• Must be a self-starter and innovative thinker with the desire to improve the aesthetic appeal to complement the existing theme park footprint 

• Broad horticultural experience and technical expertise in landscape design, installation, maintenance, irrigation, plant-related pest control, turf, greenhouse, floral operations and arboriculture preferred.   • Working knowledge with and around pest control products that have been approved for use by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to control pests 
• Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and meet the needs of guest, team members, and other departments  
• Goal oriented, highly motivated, positive attitude and adaptable to changing environment  
• Ability to manage and accomplish multiple projects at one time and follow through on long- and short-term goals  
• Professionally execute Emergency Action Plans as needed  
• Must be able to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours, weather events, etc. i.e., be able to respond on-site when needed for after hour leadership requirements  

• Must have a valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain a Company driver’s license 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP, Kronos and scheduling preferred
