Aviation Civil Engineering Intern - Summer 2026

• Receive mentorship to assist experienced engineering staff in the design and production of engineering plans and specifications for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, parking lots, and supporting infrastructure. 

• Contribute to various elements of airfield geometric design, pavement design, airport lighting, and construction administration tasks for commercial service and general aviation airports.  

• Periodically perform construction field observations at aviation project sites and attend weekly construction meetings. 

• Assist with project quantity take-offs. 

ABOUT YOU  

• EXPERIENCE: 0 – 2 years of internship experience 

• EDUCATION:Pursuing your Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited program 

• SPECIAL SKILLS:  

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

• Upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct
