Sonic Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant works under the general supervision of the department manager and medical staff.
This role involves providing both clinical and clerical support, including patient rooming and assisting with medical procedures.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, and hold certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant.
A Basic Life Support certification is also required for this position.
Applicants should have a minimum of 3 months of experience in a healthcare setting, with a competitive salary offered.

Under general supervision of the department manager, medical staff, nursing staff, and Sr Medical Assistant/Lead Medical Assistant, the Certified Medical Assistant follows policies, procedures, and professional guidelines. The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical and clerical support such as patient rooming in addition to assistance with medical procedures, cleaning of equipment, chart preparation, obtaining referral notes, images and lab results prior to patient visits.
