Electro/Mechanical Technician - Â Wage ranges from $30.00 - $35.00 / hour
Quad’s Tampa facility is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our maintenance team. This role provides critical support for our high-speed printing operations by performing mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative work on a wide range of production equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide mechanical and electrical maintenance on printing equipment (dryers, chill systems, blanket washers) and finishing equipment (stackers, building control systems).
- Perform preventative and proactive diagnostic inspections on production equipment, including shafted and non-shafted systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery and auxiliary systems such as conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, fans, and blowers.
- Work with AC/DC motors, drives, and control systems.
- Use electrical and pneumatic schematics to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
- Maintain documentation for equipment calibration, settings, repairs, and tolerances.
- Work safely with voltages up to 480 VAC.
- Install, program, and troubleshoot PLC-controlled and relay-based equipment.
- Work 12-hour rotating shifts (7 am - 7 pm or 7 pm - 7 am), rotating from days to nights and nights to days every 4 months, with overtime and on-call responsibilities as needed.
- Follow safety protocols, SOPs, and work orders while maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and vendors; work independently and coordinate tasks with others.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of industrial maintenance experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on industrial/manufacturing equipment.
- Preferred: Industrial Maintenance education or Journeyman status.
- Ability to diagnose production issues, determine corrective actions, and prevent recurrence through scheduled maintenance.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
- Ability to work independently and direct others when coordinating tasks.
- Willingness to work overtime and participate in on-call rotation.
- High School Diploma or GED
