Position Description:Â
The Department of Behavioral Health Science and Practice (BHSP), College of Behavioral and Community Sciences (CBCS), University of South Florida (USF) invites applications from qualified candidates to fill one of two 9-month tenure-earning faculty positions, one at the rank of Assistant Professor and one open rank (i.e., Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). Both are to be located on the USF Tampa campus and are not remote positions. Salary will be commensurate with rank. The successful candidate is expected to have, or to demonstrate the potential for, an independent program of research focused on behavioral health services, with a research focus in one or more of the following areas:

- Mental health and substance use service access, utilization, policy, and financing
- Implementation science and behavioral health
- Technology in behavioral health (e.g., telehealth/eHealth, informatics)
- Machine learning, natural language processing, predictive analytics
- Integration of behavioral and physical healthcare
- Behavioral health research methods and statistics
- Populations facing barriers to use of behavioral health services
- Prevention, health promotion, and early intervention in behavioral health
- Behavioral health issues within justice systems
- Global behavioral health
- Behavioral healthcare in rural / remote areasÂ
- Health communications in behavioral health
- Trauma-informed care
- Veteran and first-responder behavioral health
- Suicide preventionÂ
- Population behavioral health
- Behavioral health workforce
- Administrative data acquisition and use
