Job Description:
This position is responsible for assisting in the planning and directing the Front Desk, Guest Service, and PBX operations-including all related management functions with the end result of a positive guest experience
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures.
- Oversees daily work assignments of Front Desk staff.
- Performs detailed guest room inspections to identify repair/improvement needs.
- Investigates and resolves guest situations such as reservation errors or lost personal belongings.
- Interviews, hires, trains, schedules, appraises, and supervises all directly assigned personnel.
- Responsible for quality, consistency, and presentation of all products delivered to guests.
- Recommends to senior management operational enhancements that support initiatives and promote excellence.
- Promotes positive guest/employee relations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of full service Front Desk/Hotel Operations experience at a 4 star/4 diamond property
- Must possess exceptional phone etiquette
- Must be able to work independently, without direct supervision
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Must possess strong computer skills and familiarity with MS office and AS400
- Must possess knowledge of hotel and casino operations
- Must possess strong leadership, communication and time management skills
- Responsible for quality, consistency, and presentation of all products delivered to guests
- Must be able to work standing/sitting for long periods of time
- Promotes positive guest experience
Work Environment:
- Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the hotel and back of house of the casino, which can be faced-paced. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
