Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Department Manager to join our growing Civil/Site group, with the position based out of our Tampa, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, or Maitland, Florida offices.
 

In this leadership role, you’ll drive high-impact projects, elevate team performance, and shape long-range strategies that propel our work and your career forward. You’ll mentor talented professionals, guide complex technical initiatives, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and manages operations to ensure the quality of the technical products.
  • Establishes effective long-range objectives, goals, and plans for assigned team.
  • Provides technical and management leadership to the assigned team.
  • Develops marketing program in conjunction with discipline goals.
  • Advises and assists professionals in other groups when expert knowledge and expertise is required.
  • Manages activities so an adequate profit is earned on all projects.
  • Reviews monthly productivity and man-hour utilization-rates, reports and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Assigns projects to staff and schedules work.
  • Evaluate Employee Performance in accordance with company policy.
  • Oversees assigned staff development and advancement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 12+ years in related field.
  • Professional licensure in area of expertise.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership across large groups of employees.

  • Strategic thinking.

  • Effective delegation skills.

  • Collaboration.

  • Ability to hold others accountable.

  • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
