Job Summary
We’re looking for an Electronic Technician to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, electronic, automation, and control systems. In this hands-on role, you will work with automated equipment, industrial controls, robotics, servo systems, plant electrical systems, and process equipment to help maximize uptime, improve reliability, and support production performance.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, automation, and control systems.
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions using root cause analysis.
- Support PLC-based systems and perform I/O diagnostics.
- Troubleshoot robotics, servo systems, PID loops, sensors, relays, instrumentation, and process controls.
- Install, modify, and validate electrical wiring and control components.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment and control systems.
- Maintain maintenance records, inspections, calibrations, and work orders within SAP/CMMS systems.
- Support vacuum furnaces, wastewater systems, industrial networks, and other process equipment.
- Utilize electrical test equipment to diagnose circuit and component failures.
- Drive equipment reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, GMP, environmental, and electrical safety requirements.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, vendors, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical support, training, and mentorship to maintenance and operations personnel.
- Identify and escalate safety, compliance, and equipment risks.

What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding technical documentation.
- Vocational or technical training in electrical, electronics, industrial controls, or a related field, or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and repair complex electrical, electronic, and control systems.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems from 24V DC to 480V AC.
- Ability to troubleshoot PID loops, sensors, relays, instrumentation, and process control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and engineering drawings.
- Experience using electrical test equipment to diagnose circuit and component issues.
- Ability to work independently, make sound troubleshooting decisions, and respond with urgency.
- Strong safety mindset with a focus on equipment uptime, process consistency, and operational efficiency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS systems.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Commitment to ongoing technical training to stay current with advancing technologies.

Nice to Have
- Technical certification or diploma in industrial controls, automation, electronics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting automated systems.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley hardware and software platforms.
- Experience supporting robotic or automated manufacturing systems.
- Experience with industrial communication networks, including Ethernet/IP.
- Experience with SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or other highly regulated environments.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, electrical systems, industrial equipment, noise, and temperature variation.
- Work may involve elevated areas, confined spaces, industrial hazards, and hands-on equipment troubleshooting.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, and use of tools and test equipment.
- Ability to safely troubleshoot and work around energized and de-energized electrical systems in accordance with safety procedures.
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated work areas.

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
