The Ground Transport Nurse provides comprehensive care to critically ill or injured patients during ground medical transport. 
The Ground Transport Nurse collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team, including physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare providers, to deliver high-quality medical care during interfacility transfers.



  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, ASN required
  • RN license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
  • Florida Paramedic license
  • Two (2) years of current Critical Care and/or Emergency Department experience 
  • Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN) within 1st year of hire
  • Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) within 1st year of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within first six (6) months of hire or transfer
  • Advanced Trauma Certification (TNCC, TPATC, ATLS) within first six (6) months of hire or transfer
  • In-depth knowledge of critical care nursing and emergency medical protocols
  • Knowledge of advanced life support and trauma care principles
  • Proficiency in performing advanced clinical procedures
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make quick, accurate decisions in high-stress situations
  • Physical stamina to perform duties in challenging environments
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
