The Ground Transport Nurse provides comprehensive care to critically ill or injured patients during ground medical transport.
The Ground Transport Nurse collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team, including physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare providers, to deliver high-quality medical care during interfacility transfers.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, ASN required
- RN license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
- Florida Paramedic license
- Two (2) years of current Critical Care and/or Emergency Department experience
- Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN) within 1st year of hire
- Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) within 1st year of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within first six (6) months of hire or transfer
- Advanced Trauma Certification (TNCC, TPATC, ATLS) within first six (6) months of hire or transfer
- In-depth knowledge of critical care nursing and emergency medical protocols
- Knowledge of advanced life support and trauma care principles
- Proficiency in performing advanced clinical procedures
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make quick, accurate decisions in high-stress situations
- Physical stamina to perform duties in challenging environments
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
