International Engagement Support SME

Role Summary Provides subject matter expertise supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of international engagements, key-leader engagements (KLEs), and partner-nation events on behalf of the J3I. Serves as the action officer coordinating engagement logistics, products, and follow-through.

THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and support international engagements, conferences, bilateral/multilateral meetings, and key-leader engagements.
  • Prepare engagement products including read-aheads, talking points, briefings, and after-action reports.
  • Serve as a liaison and coordination point between the J3I, interagency partners, embassies/country teams, and partner-nation representatives.
  • Track engagement commitments and taskings to ensure timely follow-up and closure.
  • Support strategic engagement coordination, scheduling, and stakeholder identification across the command.
  • Maintain situational awareness of regional dynamics affecting scheduled engagements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in international relations, political science, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in international engagement, protocol, security cooperation, or staff coordination roles.
  • Familiarity with combatant command / joint staff engagement processes and interagency coordination.
  • Active Secret clearance minimum; TS/SCI preferred.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and interpersonal skills; regional/language familiarity a plus.
