Landscape Crew Member (Maintenance)

The Crew Member, Landscape plays an essential role in delivering high-quality landscape maintenance services for Sunrise Landscape’s commercial clients. Working as part of a field crew, this position is responsible for performing landscape maintenance tasks with a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.

The Crew Member partners closely with the Crew Leader, Foreman, and fellow team members to support daily route execution, maintain property appearance, and contribute to a safe and productive work environment. A successful Crew Member brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent service and maintaining Sunrise Landscape standards.

This position is located in Tampa, FL

Key Responsibilities

As one of our Crew Members, you will have the following areas of responsibility:

Daily Maintenance & Operations

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, weeding, and debris removal

• Maintain turf, trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds to ensure a clean and professional appearance

• Operate landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and edgers, safely and effectively

• Load and unload tools, materials, and debris at job sites and branch locations

• Ensure all work meets Sunrise Landscape quality standards and client expectations

Teamwork & Safety

• Work collaboratively with Crew Leaders, Foremen, and fellow crew members to complete scheduled work efficiently

• Follow all company safety protocols, including proper PPE use and safe equipment handling

• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report maintenance needs promptly

• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or property concerns immediately

• Represent Sunrise Landscape professionally on client properties and in the community

Customer Service & Professionalism

• Demonstrate pride in workmanship by leaving each property clean, professional, and well-maintained

• Interact respectfully and professionally with clients, residents, and the public while on job sites

• Support a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment

Qualifications & Core Competencies

• 1 to 2 years of landscaping or lawn maintenance experience preferred

• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States

• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions

• Dependable, punctual, and committed to quality work

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from supervisors

• Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices and safe equipment operation

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and client satisfaction

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and squat for prolonged periods throughout the day

• Ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time

• Ability to lift 30+ pounds multiple times per day in hot temperatures

• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including heat, high humidity, and rain
