GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications from experienced Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses for a future opportunity supporting MacDill Air Force Base at Tampa, Florida.
This position is being recruited in anticipation of contract award. Qualified candidates will be considered for employment upon contract award.
About the Opportunity
Join a collaborative outpatient/ambulatory care team as an LPN/LVN, providing direct patient care to active-duty service members, retirees, and their families under the direction of RNs and providers.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday–Friday
- 9-hour shifts, duty hours 0730–1630
- 60-minute unpaid lunch
- Not to exceed 40 hours per week
- No on-call
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within the LPN/LVN scope of practice under RN or provider supervision
- Obtain vital signs, perform basic clinical assessments, and assist with procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within scope of practice
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Support clinic flow and coordination across the outpatient/ambulatory care team
- Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record
Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or individual otherwise authorized to work in the United States
- Certificate - State Board-approved LPN/LVN program or equivalent military trainingÂ
- Current, full, active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
- Able to pass a Tier 1 (or higher) background investigation for facility and network access
- 1 year experience within the last 2 years as practical/vocational nurse
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in an outpatient, ambulatory, or primary care clinic setting
- Experience with military or federal healthcare beneficiary populations
- Strong patient education and teamwork skills
