We are looking for a driven, Tampa-based Marketing & Events Specialist to own the full marketing strategy for our app, a field service management platform for mid-market general contractors. This is a build-it role, not a support-it role. You will own our marketing end to end, from strategy through execution, and you will also run our events program: representing us in person at the trade shows and association events where general contractors gather. You will do it as a team of one who sets the direction and moves it forward without waiting to be told what to do next.
Because a big part of this role is showing up in person at events, it is local by design, which is why we are hiring in Tampa. If you are a self-starter who loves both the strategy and creative side of marketing and the people side of events, and you already use AI tools to work fast and punch above your experience level, we want to talk to you. This role is open to recent grads and early-career candidates. Drive and work ethic matter more to us than years on a resume.
Role PurposeOwn our app's marketing strategy and execution end to end, and run the events program that puts our product in front of general contractors. Build the marketing that drives awareness and demand, be the face of the company at the events where our buyers gather, and turn all of it into real conversations and follow-up for the team.
ResponsibilitiesMarketing Strategy & Execution- Own the full marketing strategy for our app, from planning through execution, across the channels that fit our audience of general contractors.
- Build and run campaigns that drive awareness, demand, and leads for the product.
- Create and schedule content: social posts, email, web copy, and campaign assets.
- Manage and grow our social media presence and keep the brand consistent everywhere it shows up.
- Use AI tools to build marketing plans and produce content quickly, then bring your own judgment to make it good.
- Track performance and adjust, so our marketing gets sharper over time.
- Own our presence at industry events and trade shows from planning through follow-up.
- Support and represent us at events with our industry associations, including ABC (Associated Builders and Contractors) and AGC (Associated General Contractors). Most events are in Central Florida, with occasional larger national shows.
- Handle the logistics: booth, materials, travel, schedule, and lead capture.
- Work the floor: start conversations, connect with the right people, and make prospects feel at ease.
- Turn the connections you make at events into organized follow-up for the team.
- Learn our product well enough to speak about it with confidence and explain why contractors care.
- Keep marketing and event messaging accurate and aligned with how the product actually works.
- A true self-starter who is comfortable running the program on your own and figuring things out without step-by-step direction.
- Comfortable using AI tools (such as ChatGPT and Claude) to build marketing plans, create content, and work efficiently. This is central to the role.
- Personable and confident in person. You can walk up to a stranger at an event, strike up a conversation, and build rapport quickly.
- Able to learn a product and talk about it clearly to a business audience.
- Willing and able to travel to events, mostly in Central Florida with occasional national shows.
- Comfortable working on a fully remote team and staying organized and accountable on your own.
- A degree in marketing, communications, event management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Bonus: any exposure to HubSpot, social media management tools, email marketing, or content creation (internships, school projects, or side work all count), and interest in SaaS, construction, or the field service industry.
This is a full-time, fully remote position reporting to the CEO, with support from the COO. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime based on event schedules and company needs.
You must live in Tampa, FL or the surrounding area. After an initial screen, we will meet you in person for an interview at our office. This role includes travel to industry events throughout the year, mostly regional with occasional national shows.
