Description

  • Performing basic installation, configuration, and maintenance of LAN/WAN and server environments supporting DoD applications
  • Performing routine patching, user‑account management, and entry‑level troubleshooting

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in IT, cybersecurity, data science, IS, or computer science (ABET/CAE) Alternative: Associate and four years experience or six years experience
  • Active DoD Top Secret (or higher)
  • Less than three years in basic system‑admin duties (CSWF Basic)
  • Certifications: One of: A+, Network+, CND, Security+, GSEC (or any equivalent DoD baseline)

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency with Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP) and basic Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu)
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Hyper‑V) and basic VM provisioning
  • Ability to apply security patches, manage antivirus/endpoint protection, and perform routine backups
  • Familiarity with basic network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow)
  • Strong documentation skills for change‑control and incident reports

Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET / SCI ELIGIBILITY

Travel Requirements

  • Domestic travel: Up to 10 % of the year (≈ 2 weeks)
  • International travel: < 5 % of the year, only when required for overseas coordination and clearance approval
