The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Tampa

• AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

The role you’ll contribute:

Under general supervision, performs sterile diagnostic, radiographic (IR), therapeutic endovascular (NI) and non-vascular interventional radiographic procedures and administers contrast agents at a technical level. Meets with vendors and provides equipment/supply recommendations. Other responsibilities include the safe care and processing of patients, ranging in age from newborn to geriatric. Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds (in hospital) within 30 minutes. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Assists physicians with sterile and non-sterile procedures, anticipates their needs, and utilizes knowledge of necessary equipment and supplies.
• Maintains intra-arterial access, performs manual and mechanical hemostasis, and uses closure devices as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
• Utilizes proper positioning criteria and technical exposure factors, ensuring correct patient demographics and annotations during post-processing.
• Operates and maintains imaging equipment safely, applies appropriate PPE, and follows infection control policies for handling biohazardous materials.
• Performs a full range of imaging and angiography procedures, adapting to new technologies and protocols, and addresses patient needs and anxieties.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Required
• Registered Nurse (RN) Required or
• Non-Cert Radiologic Tech Reg (NCT) Required or
• Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Required or
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Required or
• National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) Required or
• Registered Technologist - Radiography (RTR) Required or
• Temporary General Radiographer (TGR) Required or
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required and
• Registered Technologist - Vascular-Interventional Radiography (RTVI) Required
