Outpatient Rehabilitation Services are provided at multiple off campus locations and include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology services for patients across the life span (Pediatric and Adult). Patients may have a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to, stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injuries, trauma, burns, chronic pain, birth injuries and other cardiac and neurology-related conditions. The goal of rehabilitation services is to increase the functional independence of our patients and improve their quality of life through state of the art, evidence-based practices.PT will be part of an Interdisciplinary team of PT, OT and SLP’s providing world class evidence-based care to patients. Primary caseload will be patients with Neurological injuries, but PT may be expected to work with some patients from other diagnostic categories to meet the operational needs of the department.

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrate competency in all clinical knowledge and skills specific to the patient population
  • In collaboration with patient and /or family members, develops individualized treatment plans for each patient
  • Collaborate within Interdisciplinarity teams to optimize patient care
  • Manges patient caseload and Documentation to department guidelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

 



  • Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy,

  • Licensure by the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist.

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience required

  • Must be Board certified in Neurologic PT or commit to take certification exam within 2 years of hire. Vestibular rehab experience preferred
